Congratulations to Draco, winners of the House Cup for 2021. Pegagus finished a close second with Phoenix in third place.

It’s official! Draco house are the 2021 winners of the house trophy!

Pegasus was hoping for a three-peat and started strong with success at Te Wero Wai. Cygnus the new kid on the block started the year in good fashion, taking out the haka challenge on house day. Aquila then swooped in by winning the Ngā Toi challenges at House Day. Phoenix proved promising leaders, by winning the Easter Egg Hunt. However, after travelling the furthest distance in the exercise the length of New Zealand challenge, Draco secured the house trophy for 2021.

Draco house leader Aira Quirimit, said “Winning the house cup is a great victory for Draco. It was a great comeback as we were coming last at the start of the year. However, everyone worked really hard and worked as a team to make this achievement happen. It has been a pleasure being the Draco house leader for 2021. Go Draco!”

Heads of Houses wish to thank all students and staff who participated and supported house events throughout the year and a special thank you goes to house leaders and captains who shared innovative ideas and worked as a team to organise and run these events.
