Nelson Basketball are offering 3x3 competitions for College students in Years 9-10 and Years 11-13. This is a great way to get valuable experience in the lead up to the winter season by playing a shorter, faster version of the traditional 5-a-side game.

COLLEGE, INTERMEDIATE & MINIBALL COMPETITIONS

Jack Robins Stadium, 104 Neale Ave, Stoke

Years 3&4 and 5&6 Thursdays 20 February to 8 April 3:30pm Start

Years 7&8 and 9&10 Wednesdays 19 February to 9 April 4:00pm Start

There will be a minimum of 4 and a limit of 10 teams per grade- Should there not be enough teams to form a grade, genders will be combined

GRADES

• Year 11,12&13 Boys/Mixed/Girls
• Year 9&10 Boys/Mixed/Girls
• Year 7&8 Boys/Mixed/Girls
• Year 5&6 Boys/Mixed/Girls
• Year 3&4 Boys/Mixed/Girls

Game Rules:

• 2 x 10-minute halves
• Year 3&4 played cross court on 8ft hoops and with bands
• All other grades played on half court with full height hoops and FIBA 3x3 rules with the following exceptions
• Year 5&6 will also have bands and there will be no defending outside of the 3pt line.
• Scoring is in 1s and 2s. Automatic 1 or 2pts if fouled in the act of shooting
• Maximum of 5 players per team

Cost: $120 per team
