Joining the Nelson - Tasman Hub at Forest & Bird Youth as a member is an opportunity to work alongside other conservation groups in the region to help restore and protect our taonga, such an opportunity allows you to work 'behind the scenes' in doing activities like feeding kea, monitoring traps etc.

Joining the Leadership Team at Nelson - Tasman Hub at Forest and Bird Youth entails working with a unique, diverse team as part of an esteemed network with highly experienced communication, media, policy and leadership experts. Such a role will give you an edge in areas of interest ( i.e. Social Media, Newspaper writing ) and contribute to a nature centered future for current and future generations.

Below is a summary of details of the Nelson - Tasman Hub Leadership team

• The roles of the Nelson - Tasman Hub is voluntary. The expected but not fixed time commitment is an hour meeting per month ( for our leaders )

• No conservation/science/environmental, communications or social media experience is needed, a love for nature and the environment is what drives and motivates us as a network.
• Those involved in the Nelson - Tasman Hub leadership team will need to become paid Members of Forest & Bird and be aged 14-25 years. (Youth subscription is $45 per year). If you need support with this, please let us know. Paid Members receive leadership training and other benefits.
