Celestielle Travel Scholarship
Fully funded travel scholarship available and open to Year 12 students. Applications close Sunday 4 July for travel in October 2022.
Celestielle is a travel company that has been running bespoke high-end 100% fully planned travel tours to clients for the past 16 years. They are now based out of Nelson and have added a philanthropic/charitable arm to their company. The owners of the company love to travel and they wish to offer young people an experience that could be life-changing..... as travel has been life-changing for them.
To that end, they are providing 11 travel scholarships that will FULLY FUND (except for your passport and your spending money) a school trip overseas every year for 2 teachers and 9 students who will be in Year 13 in the year of travel. Applications are open to Year 12 students NOW!
These scholarships are ONLY available to three students from Nayland College, three from Nelson College for Girls and three from Nelson College.
Each year one of the 3 schools will select 2 teachers to be the teachers in charge of the students. In conjunction with the 9 students, Celestielle will do all of the travel planning (itinerary, hotel bookings, restaurant bookings, guided tours, excursions, etc) and the teachers will be the supervisors/chaperones for the 9 students across the 3 schools.
Please note: Celestielle will not send staff on this tour - the tours are planned by them, but the Health & Safety/EOTC and supervision of the trip are managed by two teaching staff.
For the 2022 trip, the host teachers will be from Nayland college (one male, one female) and the trip will be in South East Asia (exact itinerary to be determined as the company plans the trip with input from the selected students - and obviously it will depend on the Covid status/safety of countries in this region).

Complete the online Celestielle Charitable Trust Travel Scholarship applicant information form. Have an adult complete an online reference form on your behalf. A referee might be a community leader, teacher/educator, employer, or any other adult who knows you well (but is not a relative).
