Big Give 2022
The Big Give Christmas appeal is back! To help families safely this year, we are asking for donations of cash or gift vouchers for food, toys, treats or activities. Thank you!
The Fifeshire Foundation would be delighted, if you would join us to bring BIG GIVE to those in the community in need. Making someone’s Christmas a special time this year, when potentially it may not be. Again teaming up with MediaWorks and Milestone Homes to promote “Locals looking out for Locals” this Christmas. Let’s make a real difference!
There is a real need in our community during this time and the BIG GIVE is an opportunity to work together to give back to those less fortunate.
In order to be able to deliver the event safely within the current and any future restrictions, we encourage cash donations and giving vouchers, so no matter what the climate, we can get your generous donations to those who need it. Our goal this year is to get family activity vouchers to all nominated families, giving them a family fun day out to spend together.
Big Give 2022 - How you can help?
- Donate gift vouchers including Farmers, Warehouse or Kmart vouchers, petrol vouchers
- Donate family fun day activity vouchers (such as Nelson fun park at Tahunanui, Flipout, Brook Waimarama Sanctuary entry, Aquatic Centre, Natureland entry, Action Centre Tenpin bowling, Timezone vouchers).
- Donate NEW Christmas gifts (you can make them suitable to your type of school) – ideas are toys, indoor board games, arts & crafts, colouring books and pens, stationary packs, outdoor family games, sporting equipment, movie vouchers, swimming vouchers, gift vouchers, and Christmas treats. New Gifts Only, receiving something NEW is a real treat, and in line with the spirit of the event, hence our request.
Results of last year’s BIG GIVE:
- We raised over $60,000 in cash in the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas from the community.
- We received thousands of gifts, vouchers, food and toys.
- We were able to give over 400 families a real Christmas with Supermarket vouchers, gifts, vouchers and toys.
We want to aim to make a real difference once again to over 250 families facing hardship in the Nelson / Tasman region this Christmas!
