Four Nayland College students received Top Student Awards at the recent Top of the South Trades Academy Awards Ceremony in Nelson.

 The awards were presented to Georgia Hay (Hospitality Year 2), Jessica Fish (Hairdressing), Shania Kuipers (Adventure Tourism Leadership Level 2) and Molly Macdonald (Adventure Tourism Leadership Level 3).

Georgia and Jessica attended Trades Academy programmes based at NMIT, one day a week throughout the year; while Shania and Molly completed block courses at Whenua Iti Outdoors.

Over 300 students from 17 different schools throughout the top of the south attended Trades Academy programmes this year.
