Parent to Parent - Upcoming Workshops
There are some upcoming workshops that may be of interest to parents who have children with disabilities or additional needs.
Renew, Connect & Reflect - Sunday 6 November
Caring for a disabled child can come with challenges.
This workshop tackles some of the biggies like coping with stress, change and building a resilient family. You will also have the chance to connect with other family carers who understand what you are going through.
Essential for families new to the world of disability, or a refresher course for those further down the track, set your family and whānau up for long-term success.

When: 9:30am—4:00pm Sunday 6 November
Where: Constance Barnicoat Room, Richmond Library, 280 Queen Street, Richmond
Cost: This workshop is free thanks to funding from Care Matters. Lunch will be provided.

Navigating the System - Wednesday 23 November
Understanding the various disability support services can be overwhelming.
Hear about what supports are available and how you can access them from professionals who work in the sector. Speakers for this workshop are:

- Julie Hiatt - Ministry of Social Development
- Michelle Clucas - CCS Disability Action

Parent Support Groups - Motueka & Richmond
For parents and whānau of children with any disability or health impairment. Come along and meet other parents of children with different abilities in a relaxed and informal environment. You can drop in for as long or as short a time as suits you. RSVP preferred but not essential. Did we mention there's free coffee?
