Principal's Message, 10 December 2020

Daniel Wilson —

Dear parents/caregivers

It is difficult to believe we have finally come to the last few days of 2020.  It has been an absolute pleasure to watch the triumphs and challenges our students have had throughout what has been a tumultuous year. Last Wednesday evening we had our annual Graduation Dinner, which was once again a very emotional celebration and a fitting way to say goodbye to our Year 13s. I would like to thank the PTA, Alice Scott and the Hospitality Crew (led by Mrs Michaela Nicholas) for organising the evening and providing an amazing meal, all prepared and cooked by our own students.

Over the past few days our junior students have been involved in a huge range of activities and camps. These opportunities would not have been possible without the input and energy of our staff at a very busy time of year. You can read about many of these trips in today's newsletter.

As this is our final newsletter for 2020, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in making Nayland College such a wonderful, vibrant organisation over the past year. To all of our students, staff, parents, volunteers, coaches/managers, businesses and community groups I wish you all the very best for the upcoming festive season. I look forward to continuing to work positively with you all in 2021.

Ngā mihi nui
