Tiaki & Molly are off to London!

Nayland College/Stuff —

After being selected to take part in the National Secondary Schools Shakespeare Production in Dunedin, both Tiaki Sharp and Molly Clarke have now been invited to go to the Globe in London!

Last week Stuff reporter Katy Jones interviewed both Tiaki and Molly, particularly in light of the controversy around Creative NZ cutting funding for the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival. You can read the article here.

Tiaki's mother Sarah said, "We are chuffed for Tiaki and all the hard work he and Molly have spent to make this happen. It takes a village and we are super grateful for the amazing support and teachings of Verity Davidson, and Tiaki’s Speech and Drama Teacher Gaelynne Pound. Gaelynne was the first person to introduce and encourage his journey with Shakespeare."

Tiaki also had more good news last week as he sat and received distinction for his Trinity College ACTL Diploma in Performance (Speech and Drama). Congratulations Tiaki! We wish you and Molly all the best as you fundraise and prepare for your upcoming trip.
