A huge congratulations to each of our teams and good luck to those students travelling to Christchurch for the South Island Volleyball Championships!

Last weekend the Nayland A Boys and Nayland A & B Girls volleyball teams, travelled to Blenheim for two days to compete in the first qualifying tournament for New Zealand Secondary School Nationals.

The Boys played some entertaining volleyball picking up wins over Marlborough Boys A 3-2 and Waimea B 5-0 and a close battle with Nelson College 2-3 and Waimea A to place 3rd.

The Girls A team continued their impressive run, going undefeated in all six of their games, and winning the overall tournament. 

The Girls B team also had a fantastic tournament, picking up wins over Marlborough Girls A and Waimea A and B, to finish with three wins and three losses, placing them 4th after the first round of qualifying.

The final tournament will be on 18-19 March in Nelson at the Tasman Championship. 

Both the Boys and Girls A team head to Christchurch this week to attend the South Island Volleyball Championship. We wish them all the best!
