Developing Relationship Skills - Parent Workshop

Parent to Parent —

A workshop for parents, caregivers and whānau of high school-aged individuals or young adults with learning disabilities.

Kat Downs from Family Planning NZ is coming to Nelson next week, and is offering a free workshop Developing Relationship Skills – Nelson – Parent To Parent (parent2parent.org.nz) to parents who have disabled teens / young adults that are currently navigating their way through relationships.

This standalone workshop is based on the resources 'Navigating the Journey' and 'The Colours of Sexuality' which have been developed by Family Planning NZ.

The goal is to provide you with tools to help your young person develop skills such as appropriate touch, assertive communication and positive decision making. This will help them to have safe relationships and experiences as they approach adulthood.

When: Wednesday 16th November

Time: 7:00pm—8:30pm

Where: Constance Barnicoat Room, Richmond Library, 280 Queen Street, Richmond
