Term 1 Interim Reports

Kathy Sherwood - Deputy Principal —

Dear Parents,

We are about to send out to you the Term 1 Interim Reports.

For Years 10 – 13, this will take the form of a one-page “traffic light” report to indicate how students have settled into their learning for the year. These will be emailed progressively from tomorrow and a hard copy will be given to students to take home. For Year 9, this will be achieved through an online reporting system called LINC-ED and will also incorporate a comment for each subject. LINC-ED reports will be ready early next week and you will be sent details of how to access them. An explanation of what each of the colours represent is attached.

The LINC-ED reporting system is new at Nayland College. We are trialing it with Year 9 only this year and will be seeking feedback from you as to its usefulness. It is hoped that, going forward, it will enable reports to be more specific and sent to you at a time more appropriate for learning rather than the traditional half-yearly reports which become a general summary of overall learning.

Subject interviews for all year levels will be held on Tuesday 9 April from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. These are an opportunity for you to meet subject teachers, ask questions, hear how your child is progressing and to pass on any information you think will be helpful. We strongly encourage students to attend these interviews with you. Please note that school will finish at 12:30 pm on that day and that buses will run at the usual times.

Details of how to book subject interviews through the school interviews website are attached to this email, along with a list of teacher codes so that you can reference these alongside your child’s timetable on the portal. Please leave a gap between appointments so that you have time to get to the next interview. If you have any questions or difficulties booking appointments, please contact our receptionist on 03 547 9769.

Kind regards
Kathy Sherwood
