Health & youth well-being

Brennan Geddes - Head of Learning: PE, Health & Outdoor Education —

On the 12th of June we have presenters from Attitude NZ speaking to each year group. For many years now Attitude have presented information about youth well-being. These sessions have proven to be both informative, engaging and entertaining.

Unfortunately, quality health presentations do not come free and Nayland College feels that we need to continue to encourage and support healthy decision making. So this year we are asking students to give a koha (donation) of a gold coin to help fund the presentations.

Each year group gets a different presentation but the topics involve relationships/bullying, decision-making, drug issues, sexuality, mental health, cyber safety and digital friendships.

For more information you can contact Brennan Geddes (Head of PE and Health).
