New unisex toilets brought to life and colour

Linda McDougall —

Talented Year 13 student River Day spent the holidays adding life and colour to the new toilets which were opened this term by local artist Anne Rush.

A couple of weeks ago Nayland College was able to honour the work of one of its students in opening a piece of art work that they had done for the school.

River Day painted a mural on the walls of a new unisex toilet block in the gymnasium area over the holiday break.

This fabulous piece of art work was opened by Anne Rush.

Anne is well known for her work as an artist and her passion for bringing art to the community.

River’s teachers over his time at Nayland, Di Maskill, Tania Radman and Lucy Buckley were all instrumental in his journey to becoming an artist and were there at the opening along with his proud parents Charmaine and Craig.

Daniel Wilson spoke of how professional River’s work was and wished him well in his course Bachelor of Arts and Media he is undertaking at NMIT in 2022.
