Sexting and your teenager

Nayland College —

Recently the NZ Herald reported on the need for parents to be more aware of the sexting terms their teenagers could be using.

Above is a "sexting dictionary" of code words teenagers may use to secretly exchange explicit messages and photos via their phones and emails.

Some teens may use this language as a part of keeping parents 'clueless'.    Talking about sexting with your child may feel uncomfortable or awkward but it is incredibly important to discuss the risks and teach them how to stay safe.
