Nayland alumni creates world's largest adventure race

Sarah Luton —

Jodie Fa-avae and husband Nathan, both Nayland College alumni, are responsible for creating 'Spring Challenge,' which has become the world’s largest adventure race, geared purely for women.

To read more about their story, check out the Stuff article by Sara Essig Webb, published this week:

Jodie remembers her time at Nayland College fondly saying, "I used to cross the creek and be on the field, we lived that close. I loved Nayland and have fond memories of school - great group of friends, great teachers, played lots of sport and won the cross countries."

Her suggestion to us all is to, "Make time for nature. It helps connect, ground and calm most people. Watch a sunrise, a sunset, a moonrise, plan some adventure with your friends - a swim any time of the year at Tahuna, a half day walk in the hills."

From all of us here at Nayland College, congratulations on your success Jodie and we wish you and your whānau all the best for all your future adventures and endeavours!
