Recently Year 11 student Micayla Whiti attended the Australian National athletics championships in Sydney where she competed in the Under 17 grade.

After being ranked 13th going into the 100m she finished in 11th place.

In the 200m she ran well to qualify in 7th place for the final and then ran a superb race in the final, closing late to finish a very creditable 5th place – a mere 0.09 seconds from 3rd.
