Japanese students get taster of Nelson

The annual Kousen High School group attended Nayland College over July/August for a jam packed three weeks.

The Japanese students study English as a Second Language (ESL), and the group was made up of both Juniors and Seniors.  Lynette Salisbury (Teacher of ESOL) looked after the group over the three weeks, and created an agenda full of a variety of Nelson and New Zealand experiences for them to enjoy. 

The students attended ESOL classes during the three weeks, and also The fun activities included rock-wall climbing, ten-pin bowling, pottery, a farm visit and each students  Nayland buddies to experience some kiwi classes. They were hosted by local host families. Genki de!
