Cross country cranks up house spirit

PE and health teacher Jo Cotton —

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon at lunchtime on Thursday 5th July at the end of last term when 50 plus students and some staff turned out for the annual school cross country event.

Students could choose from the fun event of one lap of the course or the competitive two lap event. Many dressed in house colours and participated to gain house points for their house.

Highlights included a large blow up sumo suit, Mr Wilson running in the event, Mr Gravett sporting a tutu, all of the Institute of Sport students competing, and the smiles had by all.

Place getters are below but a special mention for Rosa Stones who, as a junior student, was placed first girl overall.

Well done everyone. See you again next year.
