Tasman Secondary Junior Touch Tournament

Dayna Whiting - Sports Director —

Nayland College had two mixed teams made up of 12-14 players compete in the annual junior touch rugby tournament on Tuesday 14 November 2017.

The players were very new to the game, so the focus for the tournament was to improve on each game and to do the basics well. This is exactly what they did. The teams demonstrated an excellent clear attention on their own improvements and didn't allow the opposition to sway their focal point.

Jo Cotton and Dayna Whiting were extremely happy with the  improvements that both teams made, starting from their very first game and continuing throughout the day.

It was immense task and both teams should be very proud of themselves.

There is huge growth potential for touch rugby at Nayland College in both competitive results and social grades. This is exciting for everyone involved.

We would like to thank Jo Cotton for her continuous work with touch rugby at Nayland College.
