Periodically Brilliant
Nayland recently held its annual periodic table competition.
The competition involves students trying to recite all 118 elements of the periodic table from memory.
Lovinia Pluck in Year 10 was the junior champion, managing to recite 85 elements correctly.
In the senior section, Year 11 student Ella Riccardi managed to name all 118 elements correctly to claim victory. Of special mention was Alex Pirie who managed 117.
Along with an impressive trophy, the students won points for their house for their victory. Ella's house, Pegasus, got the most points in the periodic table competition.
Well done to these students for their memorable victory.
