Not all kids have the same start in life. The KidsCan Charitable Trust was founded in 2005 on the belief that education equals opportunity, and every child, regardless of their social economic background, should have an equal chance.

 On the 4th of April representatives from the defence force visited Nayland to educate students about leadership skill and team building, as well as the big variety of career opportunities within the military.   

A group of enterprising level two health students set up a bright yellow stall in the quad on Tuesday 9th May.  

There is no better way to start the day than having a good breakfast with your friends. The Kickstart Breakfast Club started at Nayland College nearly two years ago. 

Well-travelled science and biology teacher Glenis Paul has a Bachelor of Science with a major in Zoology.  She has worked in 14 different schools in six different countries and has plenty of advice to give. 

Parents:  You can encourage and support your child to be reading too – it’s the perfect indoor winter sport – with lots of benefits. Reading is great for relaxation, learning, literacy, and thinking skills.

Nayland College Girls 1st XV took on Waimea College on the 10th May in their first game in two years. It was an exciting game with Nayland College putting up a real fight against a well-drilled Waimea side. 

Recently the NZ Herald reported on the need for parents to be more aware of the sexting terms their teenagers could be using.
