Student success - Top of the South Trades Academy
Two special events took place this week for our Top of the South Trades Academy students.
On Thursday the graduation ceremony for the Manaaki Tāpoi Level 3 Extension students occurred at Whenua Iti. Taylor Bruning, Chloe Pascoe and Winiata Tairaki Whiu completed this programme which teaches Maori culture and interactions with our international visitors. Students went to the West Coast staying at Arahura Marae, Marahau interacting with international students and to the Beehive where they talked with Peeni Henare.
On Friday 27 September NMIT Trades Academy Hair & Beauty competition took place. Spectators were able to watch Hairdressing and Beauty students compete before their eyes and Hospitality students served finger food and mocktails during the day.
