Every time you stop on them you are putting others at risk.

This applies to Nile Street, Alton Street and Mānuka Street. We completely understand that parking can be stressful and difficult, but it is essential that you abide by the road rules. 

We see this happening multiple times every day, with children having to go further into the road than is safe to look around vehicles or other cars having to manoeuvre around these vehicles in ways that put tamariki at risk. 

Please also remember - Alton Street is not a drop off/pick up zone unless you park in a designated park with your child using the footpath (they should NOT be running onto the road to jump into your car).
