Kia ora e te whānau, my name is Jess Trott and I'm really excited to join the Kahikatea syndicate for 2024. I was born and raised in Nelson and returned to raise my own tamariki here - Nelson is such a lovely place to grow up. In my spare time I enjoy exploring with my family and trying out new baking recipes. Please do come and say hi if you see me at school.

Paula

We also are delighted to welcome Paula back as our office manager. Paula has spent the last few months working for Wearable Arts. We are thrilled to have her back on the team.

Sophie Barber

Sophie will be a familiar face to many, both as a parent and a former teacher in Renwick House. Sophie will be working mornings in Room 9 as Sam takes on the Reading Recovery role.

Laurence's new role

Another really exciting change we have this year is that Laurence has stepped out of his class to be our release teacher specialising in the arts. Over the next couple of weeks all tamariki will have their first music session with Laurence, and later in the term these will be full days. We have already heard beautiful sounds coming from Room 4.
