Roadworks- Collingwood and Manuka Street
Nelson City Council is upgrading sewer pipes near school next term. Expect disruption to usual traffic flows.
We have just been informed that the Nelson City Council will be carrying out work in three stages around Collingwood and Manuka Street next term.
Traffic on Collingwood Street between Manuka and Brougham Streets will be limited to southbound (uphill) only.
Footpaths will still be open, but crossings will be at designated spots along the road.
Manuka Street (including footpaths) will be closed on the western end (from the top of the hill down to Collingwood Street intersection) at the final stage of this project. While our entrances will remain accessible, please consider alternatives to using this area to get to and from school.
They anticipate the work to be fully complete by June 30.
