Visit this articleOur Easter Raffle is underway. Thanks to those whanau who have already generously donated Easter goodies, they will help us make some amazing prizes. This year we are asking for your help to sell some raffle tickets for our Easter Raffle. Tickets are $1 each and 10 tickets for each family will be sent home today. There is no expectation or obligation to sell any of these tickets, but for those who are keen, this could be an opportunity to ask extended family, neighbours, friends or colleagues to help support our school. If you do sell tickets, please return the tickets & money in the envelope provided to the office by next Thursday March 28. Prizes will be drawn that afternoon and sent home that day. We are still accepting donations of chocolate eggs, bunnies and other Easter goodies. These can be dropped off to classrooms until Tuesday 26 March. Visit this articleNelson Youth Theatre, now in its 25th year, is proud to present two spectacular musicals to ensure your families or parents are well entertained during the April School Holidays, Disney's The Lion King JR and Queen's We Will Rock You. Both shows are on during the first week of the April school holidays. The Lion King sold out every night last time we staged it in 2019, and with a huge cast of 150 children and teenagers, this season looks likely to as well. Queen's Musical We Will Rock You has been a smash hit all around the world for 20 years, but this is the first time it has been staged here in Nelson. The story has been crafted by Ben Elton to portray a futuristic world where musical instruments have been banned until a rebel group, assisted by the audience, set out to save the world one Rock song at a time!
Visit this articleYoung Nelson playwrights group ‘Control Z’ has had a play accepted into the Fringe Festival. It’s very clever and definitely good value entertainment. We would love Nelson to come behind their achievement by coming to enjoy the show!
