Course: Electronics Programming and Construction (NCEA L2 Electronics)

Craig Jefferies —

Using the Arduino Microprocessor to help exploring the ideas of analogue and digital inputs, processing voltage signals and controlling a range of output devices.

When:

Term One

Subject Area(s)

Digital Technologies

NCEA L2

This course will cover the fundamentals of programming an Arduino microprocessor using the C++ programming language.
We will look at how to interface input electronic components including switches, variable resistors, light and temp sensors. We will cover how to read-in and process input signals and how to interface output components such as LED's, DC Motors and Servos.
We will look to apply these skills to a range of projects

Requirements

A background in computer programming is a huge advantage. Also experience with electronics through Year 9-11.

Assessment

AS91894 Use advanced techniques to develop an electronics outcome
