Course: Introduction to Accounting (NCEA L1 - Accounting)
This course provides students with a background to Accounting and provides the basics to further study in Accounting. It also provides students with information useful in their daily lives.

The course includes 3 internal achievement standards and two possible external standards. The internal standards are taught first. The course aims to:
1. develop in students an interest in Accounting
2. To provide students with knowledge of the processes, principles and systems of Accounting.

All students must have completed or will be studying ; 90977: Processing Financial Transactions for a small Entity.
Assessment
All standards are NCEA Achievement Standards. There are a possible 13 internal credits.
About the Teacher
Mr Douglas has been teaching Accounting for many years and has taught this course on- line for a number of years. He is a teacher at South Otago High School.
