NCEA L3
This course seeks to use various techniques to look at AC & DC electricity, mass-energy conversion, photon emission and CCD detectors.
Students who do well in this course should be able to analyse complex situations and solve involved numerical problems.
Requirements
Students need to have completed the NCEA Level 2 equivalents of these Standards.
Preferably with Merit grades.
Assessment
AS91525 Demonstrate understanding of Modern Physics [3 credits] AS91526 Demonstrate understanding of electrical systems [6 credits] Electrical Systems will have a full topic test during the semester and then an External Exam in November.
The Modern Physics topic is an Internal, exam-based assessment.
