Students will create a plan for a media product, which will be in the form of a school magazine.

Students will create a plan for a media product, which will be in the form of a school magazine (unless other arrangements are made with the teacher). The plan will outline everything the student would do if they were to create the magazine. Once the planning stage is completed, students will produce their magazine.
Requirements
Students should have a sound ability in reading and writing. There is a need to be able to create solid paragraphs. They also need to have access to appropriate technology to produce their media product.
Assessment
Students work towards AS91252 (internal), AS91253 (internal) in this Semester and can gain 10 credits.

About the Teacher
Sharee Knapp has been teaching for thirteen years; since 2016 she has taught an online Media Studies class through NetNZ. She enjoys gardening, sewing, reading and spending time with her family. She also teaches English at Menzies College in Southland. Her family lives on a small farm on the edge of the Catlins.
