Economics is the subject that specializes in understanding how economics concepts and models provides a means of analysing contemporary New Zealand issues.

This course aims to enable students to analyse unemployment and inflation using economic concepts and models.

Requirements

In this course, the participating students will be required to keep their eyes and ears open to make the connections between economic theory and the real world.
Anyone wanting to take this course will need to fully participate in the video conference once a week.

Assessment

Students will be assessed at L2 Economics - one internal standard and one external standard. In week 6 of Term 2 you will have a common one hour exam (External Achievement Standard AS91222).This is a formative (practice) exam and the grades you obtain do not contribute towards your final grades but they would be used to support a derived grade application for AS91222.

AS91225 Analyse unemployment using economic concepts and models. (Internal) (4 Credits)
AS 91222 Analyse inflation using economic concepts and models. (External) (4 Credits)

About the Teacher

Mrs. Yang has been teaching Level Two Economics with NetNZ for the last three years . She is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
She is very involved in the church and help to take children's meetings.
