This course focuses on using an accounting software package to complete (AS 91175 – 4 credits). The software package that is used is XERO programme. This is an opportunity for students to put their prior knowledge to work and input transactions to successfully create journals and financial statements for a trial organisation. Level 1 Accounting is a pre-requisite.

Workbook and assessment provided through a PDF from the teacher that requires the student to print out.

This standard is internally assessed.

About the Teacher

Lynda Duncan teaches at Northern Southland College in Lumsden. There she teaches Accounting and a Career Ready course. Lynda is heavily involved in Highland Dancing where she is the National Association's secretary. She also travels the country adjudicating. Husband Wayne and two university daughters keep her busy and broke!
