Course: Evolution of Living Things (NCEA L3 Biology)

This course is all about understanding the evolutionary process of living things

Half of the module is dedicated to evolution of animals and plants and the other to Human Evolution.

This course involves learning about how the organisms adapt over long periods of time to " fit better" into their natural ever changing environment.This module includes a focus on general evolution first and then human evolution.

I am to cover the content for 2 External Level 3 Achievement Standards worth 8 credits.
1. Demonstrate understanding of Evolutionary processes leading to speciation.
2. Demonstrate understanding of trends in human evolution.

This module covers the content for 2 Achievement standards which are externally assessed by examination in November.

About the Teacher

My name is Denise Arkless, I consider myself lucky to be living in one of the most spectacular places in New Zealand, near Aoraki in the South Island. I spend my leisure time outdoors having adventures or working on projects.
