Course: The Human Subject (NCEA L3 - Psychology)
Investigating the most interesting parts of psychology's long, sordid history and how we use it today.

This is an inquiry-based course that will cover significant pieces of psychological research, what made them important and what impact they have on society today in Term 1. We then move on to modern psychology in Term 2 and how it is applied in the fields of mental health, social, and forensic psychology. The focus of this course will largely be determined by student choice.
Requirements
Having gained 14+ credits in NCEA Level 2 Psychology OR another literacy-heavy subject such as Biology, History, Media Studies, or English.
Being comfortable with reading and writing to a high standard is essential.
Assessment
There are 7x NCEA Level 3 credits, in total, available from internally assessed standards in this course.
Learning in Term 1 will be assessed against AS 91873 (3 credits).
Learning in Term 2 will be assessed against AS 91875 (4 credits).
