This will be my last board report as I am stepping down as board chair and from the board.

The 2022 – 2023 year has been about consolidating NETNZ and returning to “normal” after the turmoil of the pandemic. Plans are in place to review NETNZ and decide its future. This work will identify areas of opportunity and risk and map NETNZ’s future. With an election to take place shortly its likely that the education landscape will evolve and/or change, perhaps a little and possibly drastically depending on what’s planned by New Zealand’s politicians.

I would like to thank all the board members for the camaraderie and support of the team. While they have other roles outside of NETNZ it’s important to acknowledge their representation of NETNZ’s stakeholders and the time they give to the mahi of the organisation. For those who have stepped off the board recently or at this AGM, thank you and ka pai for your work throughout the years. The newly appointed board members will carry on the mahi of NETNZ, kia kaha. I wish you all well.

The board of NETNZ would again like to thank the executive team and every teacher and edean who are part of NETNZ’s mahi for their continued efforts to retain the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

I would also like to propose to you the annual report which shows NETNZ in a similar healthy state as previous years due to the ongoing efforts of the executive team with the support of the board.
