On Wednesday the 21st of September Newlands College was fortunate enough to be visited by ex-NBA Basketballer and human rights leader Enes Kanter Freedom. Enes Played 11 years in the NBA and now travels the world educating the youth about human rights and freedom. Enes was welcomed with a mihi whakatau and spent his time playing basketball with students, signing autographs, sharing laughs, and the highlight was sending him off with our school Haka. It was truly a momentous visit and we were very lucky that he could come to our school.
