The Tempest
On the 28th of March, the three talented actresses from The Ugly Shakespeare's Company performed one of Shakespeare’s famous plays “The Tempest”.
The play was performed in our school hall after lunch. The play was around one hour long with three main parts which was the Q&A, the problem, and the resolution, making it very well put-together.
The Tempest is a classic play filled with magic and tragedy (and even a hint of romance). However, the one performed on Friday was a hilarious comedy. Even though the show was more funny than serious it still included the main parts of the original Shakespeare play. The show was also a great mix of old and modern English, making it suitable and entertaining for all ages.
Our favourite part was the way they sang and danced; they were all very talented with projecting their voices and body movements! Overall, we thought that the performance was a great opportunity and we’d love to watch something like that again in the future.
