International Serious Play Conference
Theta and Minidevs give up a Saturday morning to attend an international event via zoom to showcase Mixiply platform.
The Serious Play Conference is an International Online Conference. The schedule is set to New York time, which meant that we “zoomed” in from school on Saturday morning at 8 am. Before the conference, all of the Minidevs had to make something to show off our skills. We decided to make virtual classrooms. All the classrooms had different themes like Star Wars, Haunted House, and Pride.
At the conference Jim Taylor -- Theta’s Emerging Technologies Architect -- demonstrated the Mixiply platform to the workshop participants. Mixiply is a platform that Theta created with the help of the Minidevs. The Mixiply website enables creators to share and collaborate on projects. The Mixiply app shows creators’ content in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). While Jim was demonstrating, the Minidevs were supporting the presentation by creating and uploading digital content. The range of content that was provided included digital art, 3D models, and coded games.
Overall, it was a really positive experience because we were able to showcase our skills as digital content creators to the world.
