Room Ten's Frog

Jumping Mad for Toot by Arlow Gebbie

Our classroom frog is named Toot. She is a Southern Bell Frog and spends lots of time sunbathing on her favourite rock.

Sometimes it’s really hard to even find her or see where she is. She even knows how to camouflage. When she is on a leaf she gets more of a green tinge but when she is on dirt Toot has more of a brown tinge.

Toot eats all kinds of different bugs but they have to be alive. Mrs Mazur buys these containers from the pet store that are full of bugs and they slowly hatch. Here is an example of what she eats; wingless fruit flies, flies and lots of other small insects.

Toot is not as big as a normal frog because she is a Southern Belle Frog. She is as small as a glue-stick lid!
