Young Reporters for the Environment - the results are out!

Leanne Stubbing —

You might remember our special edition newsletter showcasing the incredible writing of some of our students. Well guess what? Somebody else thinks it's incredible too!

The Young Reporters for the Environment is a competition run by Keep New Zealand Beautiful that encourages young people to report on environmental issues in their local environment.

We are pleased to announce that Amie Sugarman's piece on "Fill Plates, Not Landfills" got an honourable mention (4th place). You can read Amie's and the other winners writing here. Congratulations Amie!

Several of our other entrants were shortlisted. Congratulations go to Stella McLean, Carly, Bowman, Aoife Raftery and Shriya Dalvi for their informative writing. Shortlisted for the photo competition were Riann Barnard and Lucy Foster for their series of photos "Trash on our Shores". Amazing work team!
