Art Tech - 3D Pop Art
Last term, Room 1 made 3D pop-up art for Art tech.
As practices for our backgrounds, we did splatter paint and marbling. So we had an idea for our background design and colours. We had to sketch out our pop-up which we would draw and cut out. We used card paper to make the pop-up. After drawing the pop-up on the paper, we had to colour it in with colour pencils, metallic pens, fine sharpies, and vivids. Then we outlined it with fine sharpies and cut it out. After all of that, we made supports out of cardboard so it looks 3D. The teacher helped to glue on the supports to the pop-up with hot glue.
Once we had finished doing the pop-up artwork, we made scratch art. We used crayons on paper and then the teacher put black paint on it. After it dried, we used toothpicks to scratch the surface of the black paint. These are some examples of what we did.
