Hand and Heart Learning
Keeping learning fun has inspired me to try new things.
Lockdown, of which I’ve been spending heaps of time baking and cooking food, was pretty fun this time. I’ve made meringues, pasta, coffee for the adults, and sugar-coated fruits. Eating all this, I’ve probably gained some weight these last few weeks; I’m sure all the walking helped though. Another ‘heart’ task I tried was dying some hand-made tassels which I have made to decorate my bed with. Using avocado skins, seeds, and rosemary, I placed these in boiling water until the colour became rich. The stench was terrible, however, the final product turned out quite successfully. Even though lockdowns can be fun, I can’t wait to go back to school after level 3 is over.
