The Newlands Resilience Project
The Newlands community is working hard to develop support systems across the suburb to make the community stronger and more connected before any disaster occurs. Our students and our parents have been part of this in a couple of ways.
A few years ago we sent a resilience survey home to all our families. Our students analysed the results and shared them with the wider community. It's time now to share the survey again with our parents. Several schools in the area are doing this too.

This year some of our students have been involved in the Resilience Project in other ways - as actors! Students took part in a film project, promoting how communities can work together to help people feel connected and to identify those that can help when faced with challenging times. Lena Meinders and I were "recruited" for a couple of cameo roles. Please fast forward over these, as the students are the most important part of this project.
