Copyright & Creative Commons 101 for eTeachers

Rachel Whalley —

A reminder about this upcoming PLD event. Please join us in a series of two upcoming webinars and learn more about this important topic!

As online teachers we work fully digitally. We create, share, copy and adapt digital resources in online teaching and learning environments. What do we need to know to ensure we are complying with copyright? How can we use Creative Commons to support our work?

Join us in a series of two webinars with Mandy Henk from Tohatoha Aoteroa Commons and be informed!

  • The first webinar will focus on the basics of safe Copyright practice for teachers and introduce us to Creative Commons.

  • The second webinar will follow up on questions from the first and delve into Open Education Resources (OER).

Through participation in these webinars we will learn how copyright affects our teaching practice and what we need to do to comply  with legislation. We will explore and share tools, methods and resources that make this easier for us. This will better equip us to guide our  students to be good digital citizens and create and share content with respect to copyright.

This workshop is designed for NEX online teachers network, but all are welcome to participate.
