NGATEA SWIMMING CLUB

Ngatea School —

With summer fast approaching, it is time to think about the Ngatea swimming season.

Last year we were unable to offer Learn to Swim and scraped together a few people to keep the Swimming Club alive. This year we are in a similar position. None of last year’s committee have children in the Learn to Swim age group and their older children are in the process of moving on from Swimming Club. So, where to from here? If the Ngatea community wishes to have any Learn to Swim or Swimming Club programmes offered this summer, it is vital that we have support at our upcoming AGM. This year, the AGM will be held on Monday 23rd September at 6:00pm at the Ngatea Hotel. If we do not receive adequate support at the AGM, there will be no swimming programmes offered in Ngatea this summer. Please contact the club via our email (ngateaswimclub@gmail.com) or facebook page. The current committee feel saddened at the prospect of not being able to offer swimming programmes to the children in Ngatea. We all understand the importance of learning to swim in New Zealand and it would be sad to see the club fold. We would love to have your support and look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
