PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Tena koutou katoa - Christmas greetings to all our parents, caregivers, grandparents and friends of the school. It is our sincere wish that everyone enjoys the coming festive season with whanau and friends. But before that happens, one final newsletter to end our 2021 school year.
2022 - OUR FOCUS ON STUDENT WELLBEING.
Over the past 2 years, the school has gradually changed its focus to student wellbeing. With staff having to deal with reality every day, next year will see an even greater focus on our student, staff and parent/caregiver wellbeing. See full article here.
BOARD NEWS
Property projects: Builders will start the covered deck extension at the Whetu learning spaces (Yr 5-6). The deck area will be extended right up to the fence of the Mapson Maze area (the quad area with the pizza oven). The large bifold doors into the classroom will give the space a wonderful in/outdoor flow with a large collaborative area outside of the the 3 classrooms that make up the Whetu space., The project will not be able to be completed before school starts as we are waiting for building supplies, inclosing aluminium joinery.
2022 Board Elections: The triennial elections for school boards are being moved to later next year and will include provision for electronic voting. The elections will now be held between 5 September and 23 September 2022.

2021 SCHOOL AWARDS
We did not have a 'traditional prizegiving", but did have an end of year awards celebration. Check out our end of year celebration booklet here.
2021 CURRICULUM REPORTS
The curriculum reports for our core learning areas were tabled at the board meeting on Monday, 13 December 2021. While we have identified schoolwide and individual (student) trends within these curriculum areas to focus on next year, it is important to acknowledge and celebrate the overall successes for 2021 academic school year.
