For over 30 years Debbie has been offering specialist play therapies, family therapy and groups using clay, sand, interactive drawing, puppetry and storytelling as well as directed and child-centred play for children, youth and families affected by physical or/and mental unwellness.
Debbie has vast experience in using her skills to support children through any worries or troubles they may have, trauma - physical and/or mental. She has also written a children’s book about the dying process and has written in nursing reference books on the importance of specialist play. She is also currently studying to become a child-centred Play Therapist.
Along with her contracts through the District Health Board, not-for-profit organizations, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Development.
Referrals will directly go to Debbie confidentially through the referral form mentioned below. Ngatea Primary School supports Debbie in seeing any children referred to her on Wednesdays during school hours.
