Kā Au Kahuraki

Noku Te Ao —

Kā Au Kahuraki (nā Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust) have been helping out the Nōku te Ao whānau for a few years now - they are the lovely ladies who deliver the kai boxes every week, and they run other courses which whānau can join too.

If you are interested in joining their Create & Connect online cooking classes - they supply the ingredients and the recipes and you join them online to cook the kai together. Classes are online on Thursdays at 11am and if you are unable to join them online they ask that you send a photo of the kai when you make it. There is also their Māra Kai kaupapa where they provide you with a free portable māra kai (providing you are enrolled in the Create & Connect kaupapa) and then you are taught gardening and cleaning at the Gardening & Cleaning workshops held at the Community Hub on Monday mornings starting 9.30 am (transport can be provided to & from). This workshop has Rachel the Garden Guru teaching mahi māra, paramanawa and then Kirsten who teaches the Natural cleaning product workshop - goody bags to take home are given out at the end. Also for those interested in improving their confidence in parenting there is the Building Awesome Whānau parenting classes - sessions and days are flexible.

If any of these initiatives interest you, please get in contact with either Dy (0273293936/ dy@nokuteao.maori.nz) or directly with the lovely Kā Au Kahuraki kaitiaki -  Leni 021856279, Jaimee 0211983766 or Justine 0211987159
