Te rarangi o tēnei wiki: Ko te wā whakapai inaiānei!
You may have heard your tamaiti yelling this one - they tend to yell it more than they actually do it! It is time to tidy up now. A very good phrase to have in your kete, one you will use (sometimes in vain, let's be real) with your tamariki over and over again (because their selective hearing has kicked in and they are pretending not to hear you).
Ko te wā - It is time
whakapai - to clean/tidy
inaiānei - now
Put that one in your kete to help get them to clean the whare.
Our whakataukī for this week is:
Whakataukī: Kai raro i te tui o te kaka.
Wouldn't you like to know/It’s a secret.
Literally: Hidden under the fold of the clothing. A good whakataukī to use with inquisitive tamariki
